Baggage Norms and Conditions

Excess or oversized baggage is subject to special check-in. You shall in advance apply to the airline and specify conditions of transportation of such baggage.

It is not recommended for the passenger to put in the registered baggage fragile and perishable items, as well as money, jewelry, documents and other similar items.

In case of finding out of dangerous substances and items in the baggage of the passenger, for the manufacturing, carrying and storage of which is provided a criminal liability (weapon, ammunition, explosives, firing agents, explosive devices, narcotic, poisonous, poisoning, radioactive substances, etc.), such passenger is not allowed to flight and together with materials (act and withdrawn substances and items) is transferred to internal affairs bodies in order for a making decision on prosecution.

According to the document №8973 of ICAO guidelines:

It is forbidden to transport in the cabin baggage:
  • Liquids and gels (in containers with a capacity more than 100 ml);
  • Weapon of any type and weapon simulators;
  • Sharp items;
  • Tools with percussive and crushing action;
  • Working tools;
  • Magnetic materials;
  • Devices of shock effect;
  • Radioactive substances;
  • Poisonous and toxic substances;
  • Compressed and liquefied gases;
  • Inflammable substances;
  • Flammable solid substances;
  • Corrosive and caustic substances;
  • Explosive substances and items containing explosives;
  • Items with a mark of dangerous cargo on a packing.
It is forbidden to transport in the baggage:
  • Magnetic materials;
  • Devices of shock effect;
  • Radioactive substances;
  • Poisonous and toxic substances;
  • Compressed and liquefied gases;
  • Inflammable substances;
  • Flammable solid substances;
  • Corrosive and caustic substances;
  • Explosive substances and items containing explosives;
  • Items with a mark of dangerous cargo on a packing.

Excess baggage

The airline establishes the baggage weight, which passenger can take free of charge. If the weight of baggage exceeds a standard it shall be regarded as "excess baggage", an excessive weight is subject to payment at the rates established by airline.

At a full load of the aircraft and at significant excess of weight of your baggage, its transportation may be denied.

Payment for an excess baggage is carried out in cash desks for sale air- and railway tickets located on the ground floor of the terminal.

Oversized baggage

The airline establishes the requirements to sizes of the baggage allowed to transportation. If the baggage does not comply with the specified restrictions, it shall be regarded as oversized and is subject to separate check-in. Please enquire the airline about a possibility of transportation of your oversized baggage in advance.

You shall check-in your oversized baggage at a check-in desk whereupon carry off it to a desk of oversized luggage (desk №18).

If the weight of your baggage exceeds a free baggage allowance, you must pay a difference at the airline tariff.

Transportation of oversized baggage is paid at its actual weight.

Properly sized baggage is not:

  • Rolling items: tubes, balls, round bags;
  • Bags with long, freely dangling belts;
  • Soft or unsteady items (e.g. plastic packages);
  • Fragile items: electronic equipment, glass; animals;
  • Metal carriers for bags.

Regarding to damage, missing of a part of contents or loss of baggage, please apply to the baggage tracing department.

Cabin baggage

The limit of transportation of a cabin baggage - weight, size and quantity of places - depends on rules of airline and on a class of service of the passenger and is determined by airline rules.

The information on rules of transportation of a cabin baggage you can find on a website of airline, at ticket offices of a carrier or by phones, specified on a website of airline.

You need no to pack your cabin baggage. You can be asked to show its contents during mandatory preflight inspection.

It is impossible to shuffle anything from a cabin baggage after its surrender.

According to Rules of preflight and postflight inspections, approved by Directive of the Ministry of transport of the Russian Federation dated July, 25th, 2007 No. 104, to transportation on board the aircraft are allowed liquids, gelatinous substances and aerosols in containers with the capacity no more than 100 ml. Total capacity of containers allowed to transportation, should not exceed one liter per one passenger.

Containers transported in the cabin baggage should be packed into a transparent package. Liquids bought by you in duty free shops, it is authorized to take aboard the aircraft also sealed in a transparent package.
