«Onur Air» starts the operation of the regular passenger flights to Zhukovsky International Airport

Zhukovsky International Airport together with Onur Air airlines announces about the launch of new route Zhukovsky – Istanbul – Zhukovsky. The inauguration ceremony of the first route took place on May 2, 2017.
The management team of the airport together with the top management of the airline participated in the inauguration ceremony. The first flight from Istanbul landed to Zhukovsky on 14:10.  After the landing in Zhukovsky the aircraft was met by the traditional water salute. The festive meeting, celebration cake and special treating was provided for all the quests and the passengers of the event.

The regular flights from Zhukovsky Airport to Istanbul will be operated 3 times per week: on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. The route will be operated by Airbus 320 and the travel time will be around 3 hours and 5 minutes, the departure from Ataturk Airport is scheduled for 11:15 of the local time and the departure time for Zhukovsky is scheduled for 15:00 of Moscow time. The tickets can be purchased on the official web-site of the airline.
Commenting the route launching to Istanbul, the First Deputy of the General Director of Zhukovsky International Airport operating company, RAMPORT AERO, Mr Evgeny Solodilin stated: “We are very glad to greet Onur Air in Zhukovsky International Airport. I am sure that together with our partner we will be able to develop new destinations in Turkey. This country remains to be one of the most popular destinations for Russian citizens. It is already the second launching of the new destinations for Zhukovsky Interantional Airport in summer season of 2017. We do our best on the route development in order to be able to offer to our passengers new possibilities for travelling, business trips and vacations.”

It is expected, that the new destination will be in high demand for travelers. The routes to Turkey are traditionally in a great demand for the independent Russian tourists.  

Zhukovsky International Airport –the newest international airport in Russian Federation,  that is situated on the south-east of Moscow Region just in 23 km from the capital city. The Airport is situated on the territory of the airdrome Ramenskoe with the longest runway in Europe of 5 500 m, that allows the service of all types of the passenger and cargo aircrafts. The official launching of the airport terminal took place on May,30 of 2016 with the participance of the Prime Minister of Russian Federation – Dmitriy Medvedev
